WHO WE ARE
The IN Group (TIG) is a collection of specialist talent management services made up of Investigo Recruiting, Definia, InX and Caraffi.
We started small, as Accountancy and Finance recruitment specialists in 2003, but we haven’t stopped growing. Today there are over 220 of us operating in five locations and we’ve expanded our expertise, too. We work with all the major players in banking, retail, tech, telecoms - and everything in between - flexing our specialisms to make a real difference in a whole range of different fields.

Meet our leadership team

Nick Baxter, CEO
Nick became our CEO back in October 2017 having joined Investigo in 2006. As the CEO Nick plays an active role in driving the growth, vision and strategy of the business with particular emphasis on maintaining our unique culture. Nick is ultimately responsible for leading the business into the next chapter of Investigo’s journey, with the purpose of achieving our 2022 business strategy – to be a recognised market leader in every one of our chosen specialisms.

Gary Watson, Chairman
Gary joined Investigo as CEO in July 2010. He became Chairman in October 2017 on Nick Baxter’s promotion to CEO. Outside of work, he is married to Michelle who has also operated at CEO level within the sector and who now operates in an advisory capacity. Together they have a young son Archie who was born in 2011. Gary is a life-time supporter of Chelsea FC (since 1970) and an enthusiastic and optimistic golfer.

Paul Collier, Executive Director
Paul joined the Investigo Board of Executive Directors at the end of 2016, bringing with him a wealth of experience. He joined us directly from Marks Sattin, where he spent over 15 years building their brand extremely successfully within the Accountancy and Finance space. Paul is responsible for growing our London Accountancy & Finance, Banking & Financial Services and HR brands alongside developing relationships with key stakeholders.

Derek MacKenzie, Executive Director
Derek joined Investigo as Executive Director in 2017 and leads our Change, Technology and Strategy divisions. Derek has over 20 years’ experience and has delivered a variety of retained and ‘Managed Service’ solutions for both SME and Blue Chip clients. Derek’s role at Investigo is to build the brand in the Technology sector and to continue to grow Business Change and Banking & Finance.

Haresh Vaya, Finance Director
Haresh joined Investigo in 2011 as Finance Director. He qualified as an accountant (FCCA) in 1995 and has trained with various audit firms including Ernst & Young. He left Audit practice in 2004 to join MPS Group International PLC where he held a number of high profile positions and worked closely with senior management teams of the various recruitment businesses of the Group. Following the acquisition of MPS by Adecco, he left his role as Head of Finance for Badenoch & Clark (an Adecco Group company) and subsequently joined Investigo.

Sarah House-Barklie, People & Culture Director
Sarah joined Investigo in 2019 as of Head of Culture and Talent. Having spent 20+ years in HR/People teams, Sarah has a wealth of experience and ideas that will help Investigo grow and meet our 2022 business strategy. Her immediate priorities will include; ensuring everyone has a defined career plan, we continue to hire the best talent in the market, and we maintain our unique and inclusive culture.

Matt Smith, Chief Revenue Officer
Matt is the newest member of the Investigo Board and joined Investigo to deliver the group’s ambitious business strategy. As well as maximising returns from the group’s existing client relationship, he will also look to drive our expansion into new markets. Matt joined us from Harvey Nash, where he played an integral part in growing the recruiter’s brand over more than two decades.

Paul Mullins, Executive Director
Paul has established himself as a trusted recruitment partner for numerous Strategy Consultancies and is regularly asked by his clients for market studies and advice on market trends. His primary focus is Partner recruitment in Strategy Consulting, on a global scale. Paul’s teams include the Strategy and Consulting team and the C&I Change team. The Strategy team is the largest Strategy team in the UK - split by sectors with specialists in Retail, TMT, FS, FMCG, Energy, Pharmaceuticals and Pricing.
